Moving into a nursing home is a tough decision for everyone – for you, as the person who contemplates moving into a facility as well as for your family. However, modern facilities provide great, comfortable and very safe living circumstances, so here are a few signs that some sort of senior living retirement communities in Denver would make a great choice for you:
Your daily care needs are escalating – you need more and more help as everyday activities are becoming increasingly difficult and the home you currently live in seems to become less safe each day;
- You find it difficult to leave your home to run errands or for shopping;
- Your chronic condition is getting worse and you no longer feel safe living alone because you are concerned about home accidents, such as falls or burns;
- Medication management is becoming more and more difficult;
- Maintaining your home and managing your finances seems increasingly difficult;
- Your kids live far away and you feel lonely and isolated – in a senior community you will be surrounded by your peers, so these facilities are excellent for making new friends, for engaging in social interaction and for enjoying cultural offerings of various kinds.
“We love our new home at Rosemark!”
by Mrs. Murray Hoffman (Resident of Rosemark at Mayfair Park)
There are so many nice things to say about this lovely retirement community, I hardly know where to begin! Rosemark is brand new and absolutely spacious with its 12-foot ceilings. The warm, friendly and most comfortable lobby/living room is just off our apartment, which makes it easily accessible and perfect for saying “good morning” to our new friends. Our dining room is also right there – easy to get to through its wide open spaces. But Rosemark is far more than just bricks and mortar!
“One of the nicest perks of living at Rosemark is that our family is not too far away from this lovely neighborhood. They can visit often, without having to travel in downtown traffic or speed along highways.” There are not enough words to describe what I call the best angels on this earth. The caregivers at Rosemark care for my husband with such patience, tenderness and devotion, you would think that he is related to them.
I have never met people so dedicated to making sure that his every need is taken care of, day and night. And always with a smile and with good humor, no matter that it may be 3 o’clock in the morning! These caregivers are the epitome of what a true caregiver should always be. They are the spirit and energy of Rosemark!
Come with an appetite!
Our culinary director, head chef and pastry chef are taste-testing menus that are both nutritionally dense and absolutely delicious! Rosemark serves a handful of unique specials that vary every day, as well as always-available favorites for every meal.
Rosemark chefs locally source ingredients, some eventually from Rosemark’s own gardens! Our homemade meals are nutritionally dense, delicious and served restaurant-style. Our kitchen also plans to launch its own brand of spices, teas and jams for purchase. Now that’s getting creative in the kitchen!
Our culinary staff is part of the Rosemark team, not outsourced to a third-party company or provider. They’re dedicated to helping Rosemark residents remain happy, healthy and well fed! Meet our chefs. View a sample menu.
Rosemark at Mayfair Park is locally owned and managed by an experienced on-site team of professionals who can respond to resident needs quickly. All have extensive backgrounds in senior living communities and gravitated to Rosemark in part because of its small size and agility.
“We all came with wish lists that weren’t possible within large centrally controlled corporations,” explained Stephanie Johnston, Rosemark Outreach and Sales Director. “Now those good ideas are being implemented.”
Rosemark owners Anne Rosen and Mark Cytrynbaum of Rosemark Development Group created Rosemark at Mayfair Park as a place where they someday may want to live. The two will continue to own and operate Rosemark into the future. Get to know our entire team.

We are thrilled to tell you more about our Executive Director at Rosemark at Mayfair Park, Sara Wright, LPN.
Sara brings more than four years of assisted living and memory support leadership experience. Her most recent position was Assisted Living Director at Clermont Park Retirement Community in Denver.
Sara was born and raised in Colorado and graduated from Metropolitan State University of Denver with a Bachelor of Science degree in Behavioral Science and Nutrition. She has always had a heart and love for serving others. This began during college when she worked at Craig Hospital caring for those recovering from traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries. Sara also spent time in Uganda, Africa, working with children and widows who had been displaced in their war-torn country. After graduating Sara followed her love for the outdoors and adventure by moving to Portland, Oregon, where she attended nursing school.
Sara gained experience as a home health and private duty nurse working with older adults and individuals requiring 24-hour nursing. After completing nursing school Sara moved with her husband Jordan to Chicago, Illinois for Jordan’s pediatric medical residency program. Here they welcomed their son Sebastian and enjoyed the big city life full of great food and biking along the Lakefront trail. It was in Chicago Sara spent time caring for chronically ill children and elders within a long term care community north of downtown. And, it was also in Chicago where she gained years of experience directing and managing Assisted Living and Memory Support neighborhoods within several different communities including Brookdale Senior Living and Senior Lifestyle Cooperation.
All of Sara’s experience has culminated in becoming the type of leader she is today. Her driving force is to maintain a culture of resilience for residents requiring varying levels of services and to cultivate a person-directed community for older adults, families, and associates alike.
Sara loves being back in Denver, and is looking forward to her new role as Executive Director at Rosemark at Mayfair Park. She would love to talk to you about the exciting future at Rosemark. You can reach Sara at 303.770.ROSE (7673) or email her.
